We want to introduce your company to Let's Read! The goal of this program is to improve the school readiness of the preschool children of your company families! Your business can be very, very special to the early literacy effort in the Yakima and Kittitas Valleys. This letter is written to introduce you to the program and to provide instructions on how to enroll the children of your employees.

PROGRAM COMPONENTS FOR LET'S READ

• One book every month for a child - from the successful "Dolly Parton Imagination Library" program!
• Sponsorship of one Newborn Baby Package per year.
• The Let's Read newsletter is sent to enrolled families each quarter with facts on health and literacy development.
• The program is open to children zero to five years of age.
• Spanish books available!
• Employer Sponsored and Private enrollment available!

PROGRAM INFORMATION FOR EMPLOYERS
A pledge to the Let's Read program will make early learning resources available to families in your organization with children aged zero to 5. It is a new program that has never been available in the Yakima and Kittitas Valleys. Let's Read includes the Imagination Library book-every-month reading club that was created by Dolly Parton and is managed by the Dollywood Foundation in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
An enrollment packet will be provided for your organization to use to enroll children into the Let's Read with the Imagination Library program. Please note that the children must be children of your employees. The children maybe enrolled in one of two ways and you can choose which ever way works best for your organization. 1) You may submit hard copy enrollments form for each child. This maybe preferred if under 30 children are being enrolled. 2) If you prefer, you can enter the enrollment information electronically on an Excel spread sheet and send that document. A sample format is included in the enrollment packet.

PROGRAM INFORMATION FOR EMPLOYEES

• A Let's Read flyer for distribution at your company. This includes the components of the program AND a flyer on how to read to your child.
• Imagination Library brochures for enrolling employees.
• A "Welcome to Let's Read" letter to distribute to the enrolling employees.
• A draft of an "Information Bulletin" that you can use for a company newsletter or other public communication.

ENROLLMENT FACTS

• Enrollment can occur at anytime during the year.
• Imagination Library enrollment forms are also in the Dolly Parton Imagination Library brochures.
• Enrollment forms are available in English and Spanish and they can be copied and submitted as needed. An electronic copy of the enrollment is also available and can be sent to you anytime.

POINT OF INFORMATION: Your employees will begin receiving books approximately two months after the date of enrollment. Enrollments are sent to the Imagination Library each month and the first books are sent two months following the enrollment arrival at the Imagination Library.

• Circle of Success staff members are available to come to your business to help introduce the program to your managers or to employees.
• There is a sample display kit with books and a poster that can be put on a bulletin board or displayed in a company meeting room. Parent clubs can be formed during off work hours if employees are interested in having an eight week program teaching parents successful and fun ways to read to their children. These groups meet throughout the valley and your employees can join a public parent education group or a group can be formed to meet during off work hours.

• Additional copies of the Let's Read Yakima Valley quarterly newsletter for your office.
