Enrollment Steps
- Let's Read and the Imagination Library
includes the Let's Read program includes the
Dolly Parton Imagination Library book club that brings
a book to every enrolled preschool child each month. The books are age
appropriate, high quality, and diverse in subject matter.
Let's Read
Enrollment Includes:
- One book every month - for one child - from the Dolly Parton
Imagination Library program!
- One Newborn Baby Resource Guide.
- The program is open to all children 0 to 5 years of age!
- Quarterly copies of the Let's Read newsletter.
- Eligibility for parents to receive a School Ready Family Award
and for the child to be named a Reader Leader!
- Spanish books are available.
- The Let's Read
newsletter is sent to enrolled families each quarter with facts on literacy and
child development. Age specific information on the development expectations of
their child is included with the newsletter. The information is sent in English
or Spanish whichever is the language preference of the family.
- Let's Read ~ Imagination Library Story
Circles are provided by Circle of Success ® on
the second Wednesday of each month. The Story Circle are at the Yakima YWCA
which is located at 15 North Naches Ave. The English Story Circles are at from
10:00-11:00 AM and the Spanish Story Circles are from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. Parents
can hear the latest Imagination Library books read,
practice reading themselves and learn about fun, educational activities to use
with the books. All of the age group books will be covered each month and new
reading friends are guaranteed!
- The Circle of Success ® Resource
Guideis provided to parents during pregnancy through the
Ob/Gyn
network. The Obstetric / Gynecological Network is a countywide
network of pre / post natal medical health care providers. Members constitute
the first point of contact with Circle of Success ® for expectant parents).
First contact with the parents is made during pregnancy. The Ob/Gyn network
provides each expectant mother with a Circle of Success ® Resource Guide
during one of her prenatal visits and the guide includes a Circle of Success
enrollment form. The purpose of the guide is to provide contact and child
development information for new parents living in Yakima and Kittitas
Valleys.
- KDNA Radio Spanish Story Hour
Radio KDNA - La Voz del Campesino 91.9 - and Circle of Success® invite you
to listen to the Children's Garden radio show every Friday from 9:00 until
10:00 AM. Tia Dora, with the help of el Viejita (the host), reads a children's
story in Spanish. The first five (5) callers receive a copy of the story free!

- School Ready Family and Reader
Leader Awards! If you are with the Imagination Library and Let's Read
program for one year and follow the school ready recommendations about school
ready activities - you could receive a School Ready Family Award. If you are
reading to your routinely read - they could receiver a Reader Leader Award!

- The program provides early education information, activities and
learning resources for all parents. The program is universal access program
which mean it is available to all parents in the Yakima and Kittitas
Valleys.

If you can - make a contribution to Circle of Success,
Inc.® for the Let's Read program! The form
is also provided on this website. |
All children aged zero to five years are eligible to enter the
program. Families can be referred through partner agencies, doctor's offices,
schools, and self referrals. Circle of Success ® works with families in
collaboration with other early learning services in order to best use resources
in the community and avoid duplication of services. Families involved with the
following program are encouraged to apply: First Steps, Site Based Early
Childhood Programs, Casey Family, Parents As Teachers, Parent Child Home
Programs Yakima Valley Community College Cooperative Preschool, Public Health
Nurse, Migrant Home Visiting Program, Readiness to Learn Program, ECEAP, Early
Head Start, and Head Start. These families will be entered into the database
indicating which program is working with them.
